The Bankmed Trustee Election 2024 is conducted in accordance with Rule 18 of the Bankmed Scheme Main Body Rules and is being managed by BDO Advisory Services (Pty) Ltd as the appointed Independent Electoral Body (IEB).
Candidate nominations were received, vetted and verified by the IEB. Thirteen (13) candidates were validated and approved to stand for election as a Trustee.
The following rules apply to the Trustee Election:
- Only Principal Members who are in good standing with the Scheme may vote for a maximum of two (2) candidates.
- Principal Members will only be allowed one opportunity to cast their votes. If only one vote is submitted, the member will not be able to return to the online voting portal to cast a second vote.
- All votes are final and cannot be amended or resubmitted.
- The outcome of the election will be decided by the simple majority of valid votes. The two (2) candidates with the most votes will be elected to the Board of Trustees.
- The election results will be announced at the AGM scheduled for 27 June 2024
